DEFINITION OF FOOT-FAULT. NEW RULE ADOPTED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. (Reoeived -March 22, 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY. March 21. The International Lawn Tennis Federation adopted! the following new footfault rule, which shall take effect on January, Ist, 1926: ‘*T muled lately before commencing to serve the server shall stand with noth feet at rest behind the baseline, and within imaginary continuation of the centre mark and the sideline, and thereafter, until the service is delivered, he shall (a) not change his position by walking or running; (b). maintain contact with the .ground; (c), keep both feet behind the baseline.” 'A special committee, including a representative of Australia, was appointed to seek unanimity in, respect of the standard ball to be introduced on January Ist, 1920.
