BRITAIN’S WAR SACRIFICE. GREAT MONUMENTS PLANNED. Reuter’s Telegram. LONDON, March 20. A comprehensive description of the work of the Imperial War Graves Commission is given for the first time in the fifth annual report. A chain of the graves of nearly 1,020,000 men encircles the earth. One of the most impressive works of the commission will be the collective monument at Gallipoli rising 100 feet on the highest ground above Cape Helled, on which are inscribed the names of the British, Irish, Australians, New Zealanders, and Indians with unknown graves. At the southern _ entrance of the Suez Cana] an obelisk 63 feet high is being erected in commemoration of the Indian troops. Similar collective memorials will bo erected in France and Belgium.
