EMPLOYERS TO CONFER.
IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENTS-' PENDING. An important, meeting of employer* will be held this morning to diaousa. the whole question of the dispute. . . It is understood that' an important 'decision will be reached,. thqipbjAt of whiob will be to ensure that, the .work of the port will proceed without hindrance. It is authoritatively stated that no •tone will be left unturned to ensure the working of the port, and important developments are expected to take place to-day. FERRY BOATS NOT AFFECTED LABOUR WILL BE CALLED AS USUAL. The decision of the employers not to call for labour does not apply to the ferry boats. The Wahine and Ngaio were working as usual on, Saturday, and. the ferry services will not come within the scope of the shipowners’ decision. EMPLOYERS’ DEMANDS MEN MUST ENTER INTO Gulr ANTEB. A “Times” reporter received information from a reliable source last night that before any further calls for labour are made by the employers the Watersiders* Union will have to enter into a guarantee. The nature of the guarantee was not disclosed.
“STOP-WORK” MEETING
CALLED FOB TO-MORROW. The usual, monthly “stop-work” meeting of watersiders has been called for to-morrow morning, and-it is expected that some decision will be reached, in regard to the new developments that have arisen on the waterfront.
