CONTROL OF DAIRY PRODUCE

SUPPORTED BY DAIRY COUNCIL. CONFIDENCE IN BOARD. The Dairy Council, consisting of 20 members from the North Island and 10 members from the South Island, elected almost two years ago to promote the passage through Parliament of the Dairy* Control Bill, met yesterday at tho Dominion Farmers’ Institute. Delegates were present from -Southland, Ofago, Canterbury, Wellington, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki, and Auckland. Mr Grounds, chairman of the Dairy Control Board, placed before the meeting the report_of the overseas delegation of the board and the proposal by the hoard to control dairy produce. The following resolution was passed By a large majority: “That this meeting of the Dairy Council, after hearing the report of the overseas delegation and tho proposed control of the board, reiterates its confidence in the hoard, and pledges itself to support the establishment of control of dairy produce on the date decided upon by the Dairy Produce Control Board.”
