WILL BULK DISTRIBUTION BRING REDUCED PRICES The increase in the importations into New Zealand of motor-vehicles during 1924 has 'been accompanied by a marked increase in the importation? of motor spirit. The following figures show the position, which gives an increase for last yea-r of 8,625,061 gallons: Gallons. Gallons. 1924. 1923, Benzine 4,676,534 3.305,829 Benzoline 100,988 146,988 Gasoline . 3,525,498 2,502,931 Other motor spirit 20,684,106 13,908,207 Totals 28.989,126 20,364,065 The North Island imported 20,391,543 gallons of motor spirit last year, and the South Island 8,597,583 gallons. As a matter of fact, Auckland imported more motor spirit last year than did the whole of the South Island, as the Auckland totalled 8,893,558 gallons.
