ENGLAND’S BEST TEAM
CAPTAIN HAS DELICATE TASK. ADVICE FROM ENGLAND. Australian and N.Z. Cable ■ Assoclati m. LONDON, February 26. G. Wilson, in the “Daily Express,” 6ays: “The last victory has restored the prestige of English cricket. We enter tne final in full confidence. The batsmen, without nobbs, Sutcliffe, or Hearne, have just done so well that Gilligan will have a most delicate task. Though the ‘ashes’ are decided, the strongest side should he chosen, namely, Gilligan and the 10 professionals. “The season has been memorable for remarkable scoring on -Doth sides. Probably the bowling of both will be counted below the highest international standard. The averages (show Australia’s bowlers 38.60 runs per wicket, and ours 38,06.”
