ON THE TOURIST TRACK
NEW ZEALAND INCLUDED NEW CUNARD LINES WILL BRING RICH AMERICANS. “DE LUXE WORLD CRUISE.” By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copvrigh*. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received February 26, 9.50 p.m.) NEW YORK, February 25. A well-known company of tourist agents announces that it has chartered the new 20,000-ton Cunard liner Carinthia, for a 38,000-mile “de luxe world cruise” from New York, via the Panama Canal. The itinerary will include for the first time a visit to six ports of Australia, New Zealand, and Tasmania, embracing Sydney, Melbourne, Hobart, Wellington, and Auckland. The passengers will make inland i visits to scenic wonders, and for the examination of unusual flora and fauna. The vessel will arrive in December. It is expected that a group of specially prominent Americans will participate in the cruise. This type of world tour hitherto has covered only the beaten tourist path in Asia, Africa, and Europe. The agents explain that they desire to vary the usual routine, and the growing interest in Australia and New Zealand, especially since the announcement of the visit of the American fleet, has induced them to include the southern continent and the Dominion of New Zealand.
