Mail’s” political correspondent says that while the Government is anxious to reestablish a free gold and silver market in London, it is unlikely to restore the sovereign to circulation for some years, because tho amount of gold in a sovereign is how worth considerably more than 20e. causing a loss to the Exchequer if gold replaced notes.
