BOY-SCOUTS' TOUR
INTERESTING AND INSTRUCTIVE. TROOP RETURNS FROM AUS- * . THALIA. A party. d( the Grey Lynn' Boy Scouts, which left Auckland on December 24th for a tour of South Australia and New South: Wales, returned by the Marama from Sydney yesterday. The Scoutmaster (Mr L. C. Rasmussen) expressed himself as very pleased with the results of the tour, which had been most successful bath as a holiday and from an educational point of view. The,arty attended two- big camps of 500 boys each, and, in addition, were treated very hospitably *by the New South Wales people. In fact, ao successful’ if as-the tour-that there' was . talk of a party of Australian Scouts- visiting ‘ this country next Christmas. The boys’ own orchestra of IX players gave several conoerts on the other side, and played the dance music at a function on the Marama. There had notr been a single .case of illness, and the conduct of all' the 18 boys had been most exemplary. It was an interesting example., of the combination of discipline and obedience.
