When about to play a stroke of- the ■fourth'hole on Romford, golf course, Mr Charles Patterson, borough accountant of West Ham, coliapsedi and died. Thomas White, 16. of Colsterworth, neiir Grantham, died just after a goal had been scored in a football match in which he was playing at Peterborough.
