GREETINGS FROM GOVERNORGENERAL. The following message has been sent by His Excellency the Governor-Gen-eral, Major-General Sir Charles Fergus, son, to Major-General C. W. Melvill, General Officer Commanding tho New Zealand Military Forces: ‘‘A merry Christmas and a happy New Year to you and all ranks under your command.—(Sgd.) Charles. Fergusson.” General Melvill sent the following reply: “Your Excellency’s message much appreciated by all ranks of tlic New Zealand Military Forces, on behalf of whom.
