DOG’S FIGHT WITH A BURGLAR

A collie’s fight with a burglar, who retreated hurriedly from a suburban residence, is told by Mr Rowland Johns, secretary of the English National Canine League. The dog found the burglar in his drawing-room and held him as he made for the door. A struggle in the hall brought down an umbrella stand, and in the confusion the burglar bolted, with the dog hanging on. As the man scampered around a corner he left part of his clothing in the collie’s grip.
