ROAD IMPROVEMENT
RATEPAYERS SANCTION LOAN. Per Press Association. LEVIN, December 17. The ratepayers of the Horowhenua County yesterday sanctioned by 669 Votes to 53 a loan of ££90,000 to construct forty-seven miles of bituminous road under the Main Highways Act, the Highways Board contributing £30,000. The road is part of the main north and south highway between Wellington and Palmerston.
