Maunganui, via San Francisco, arrived at London on December 9th. CHRISTMAS HOLIDAYS. THURSDAY, December 25th (Christmas Day), and FRIDAY, December 26th (Boxing Day), are to be observed as close holidays. On WEDNESDAY. December 24th, a morning and an afternoon delivery will be made by postmen. In addition letters (registered as well as ordinary) usually delivered by postmen may be obtained upon application at the Postmen's Branch (entrance upstairs from Featherston street at the Chief Post Office), from 8 p.m, to 9 p.m. Correspondence addressed to the General Post Office may be obtained upon application until 8 p.m. The posting boxes in the city and suburbs will not be cleared at midnight on Christmas Eve. but the usual midnight clearance will be made on Thursday, December 25th, and Friday, December 26th.
