WHAT THE CENSUS REVEALS. MONOPOLIES BROKEN: < /(Sydney “Sun” Cable.) ! LONDON, December 8. The occupational section of the 192I 1 Census reveals that women have invaded ; many occupations previously monopolised by men. There were'l49 women undertakers, 73 bookmakers, 11 trainers and jockeys, 600 as bargees. 23 chimney sweeps, 19 brewers, and 217 farm baliffs. Women plumbers, riveters, and gunsmiths Were also recorded.
