PEA-RIFLE ACCIDENT

MERCER RESIDENT SHOT. Pe- Utvv. Association. HAMILTON, December 8. ■While out with a party in a boat on tho Waikato river, William Mallard, q, married man, 30 years of ape, *» shot in the Bide owing to a pearifle being accidentally discharged. The bullet struck one of the ribs. Mr Mallard was brought into the Waikato Hospital, where he is making favourable progress. Mr Mallard lives at Mercer and is an engine-driver by occupation.
