WEATHER FORECAST
(By the Government Meteorologist.) Present indications (1 p.m. yesterday) are for variable winds, but freshening easterlies prevailing northward of Kawhia and East Cape, and northerlies, backing to southerlies, shortly elsewhere. Weather changeable generally, cloudy to overcast at times, with scattered rain. Barometer falling in. the north but rising everywhere ebon.
