Messn Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London House, under date of the 2nd instant Wool sales continue with strong competition, there being a hardening tendency for medium and coarse crossbreds, price© for which are 4d to 6d higher as compared with last sale's closing rates. New Zealand merino and fine crossbred wool are' practically unrepresented. There is a strong demand for Australian wool, except short, heavy and waaiy, which are irregular and occasionally easier.
