KOHAT REDUCED TO ASHES
TRIBESMEN ATTRACTED BY LOOT. (Sydney' "Sun” Cable.! (Received September 14, 5.5 p.m.) DELHI, September 13. As the outcome of the Hindu Mohammedan rioting Kohat has been largely reduced to ashes. Taking advantage of the position neighbouring tribesmen, attracted-by the prospects of loot entered and set fire to the town. Troops assisting the civil authorities repeatedly fired upon the rioters and incendiaries. The rapid spread of the flames negatived' the efforts to check tho conflagration.
