“TAX ON PRODUCERS”
HEAVY EXCHANGE RATE. CABLE TO MR MASSEY. Australian and N.Z Cable Association. LONDON, September 11. Mr D. Jones, of the New Zealand! Meat Board, has cabled My Massey on the exchange problem, pointing out that it will presently equal'a heavy export tax on producers. The 60 day rate is costing about a third of a million pounds annually tor meat alone.
