S. Dean:— j “On the eve of the first match New | Zealand unites in wishing the team ; every success throughout the tour.” THE TEAM CHOBEN “VIRTUALLY A TEST SIDE.” Australian, and N. 3. Cable Association. LONDON, September 11. I The All Blacks are fit and well. The team chosen lor the opening match, against Devon on Saturday, is virtually a test side, except that CVoke plays ipstead of Steel. The sender of this message does not betray a remarkable knowledge of the New Zealand team. If the team today is to be “virtually a test aide,” Cooke, the most brilliant back of all, would certainly be in it, but it is doubtful whether Steel would.
