BIG REDUCTION IN VALUES. REMISSION OF RENT. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, July 8. Soldier settlers on the Hauraki Plains at Torehape, Mangawhero, and Patetonga have been advised that the Revaluation Board has greatly reduced the prices of thear sections. Each case was considered separately, but the general reduction appears to be about 50 per cent. In extreme cases the prices were reduced from £lB to £5 per acre, the average feducion being about £7 an acre * The Dopinion Board also recommended that arrears of rent be written off, the rent to be remitted f° r two to four years, and that the Land Board grant loans. '
