INTERESTING FIND AT TITAHI BAT
AN ECHO OP THE "'SEVENTIES." While engaged, on fencing his section at Titahi Bay recently, a Wellington business man made a strange discovery. At a dentil of three feet he came across tut old. biscuit box containing a nnmber of empty bottles wrapped' in an issue of the London "Times," dated July, 1870. Curious to relate, the collection included a half-empty bottle of Baxter’s Lung Preserver. Presumably the ate had been used a a a. camping-ground by Imperial troops, though the finder is not certain on this point, it being generally understood that the soldiers weer quartered nearer Paremata. However, this incident goes to prove that even in those bygone days the sterling worth of "Baxter s” as a cough and cold remedy was fully appreciated.
