FRENCH TEAM’S CHANCES. FORMIDABLE STRENGTH. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, July 6. As the result of the Frenbh team’s showing at Wimbledon, experts are speculating on the prospects of the Davis Cup returning to Europe. It is believed that France, with Boratra and Lacoste, and Henri Cochet, and Jao ques Brugnon also available, will present most formidable opposition to any nation.
AUSTRALIAN TEAM BROOKES MAY PLAY. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, July 6. N. E. Brookes has reconsidered his decision not to accept G. L. Patterson’s invitation to join the Australian Davis Cup team in Amerioa. He sails for New York on July 20th, but will not decide what part ho will take until he consults the team.
