TURKISH FOOTBALL
NEW BAN ON BOY PLAYERS. LONDON, June 19. Vassif Bev, the Turkish Minister for Education, has issued instructions forbidding boys under 17 years of age to play football unless they have passed a medical examination proving they are sufficiently developed. This older, says the Constantinople correspondent of the “Times,” is hardly likely to be more popular than that issued recently forbidding Turkish women to participate in mixed bathing. The public gendarmerie has been instructed to enforce the mixed bathing prohibition. Fortunately -for the Turkish women the gendarmerie has declared .that no such cases ever come before its notice.
