ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL

THE CHINESE TEAM. A STRONG COMBINATION Mr A. E. Domb, manager of the Chinese University- Studente’ team, has cabled from Brisbane the names of the team which are as follow. — Goalkeeper. Tao Ching Ti (Fuhtan University). Backs. Ting Lung linen (Nanyang). Loh Mei Lung (Nanyang). Halves. Chen Pu (Nanyang). Liang Kwan Sung (Soochow). _ Lok Lun Naam (Canton Christian). Hung Hjai Chang (Hongkong). Tsai Xsa Ying (South Eastern/. Wang Oiling Sheng (Fuhtan). Forwards. Chang Hsi Em (Fuhtan). Wu Yen Chang (Fuhtan). Lowe Po Tah (Fuhtan). Ting Lung Kwi (Nanyang). Jap Boon Koey (Hongkong). Wong Fu Tan (South Eastern). Coach: Wong Tin Sik. From this list of names it is pleas ing to note that Chang Hsi En, who was in the Chinese team in Australia 1923, is with the above combination, as he is described as the beet Soccer inside right ever seen on a football 'ground Wang Ching Sheng, half-back, was also with the team in Australia, and has been described as a very fine plaver indeed

Tiie inclusion of Wong Tin Sik, as eoacb, does not agree with tlie cable sent by Dr. Gray, of Shanghai, when the team sailed, as he cabled the nam9 of Chen as coach. Possibly this may bo the. half-back of same name from the Nanyang University; if it is we shall receive a very fine ali-round athlete. It is to be noted that the first name is in every instance the surname.
