ALL BLACKS DEPART
BOUND FOR, AUSTRALIA, ENTHUSIASTIC SEND-OiFF. There was a large gathering of citizens on the Queen’s -wharf yesterday morning to say an revoar to the All Black team which left by the Ulimaroa for Sydney. The majority of the foot- ' bailers wore on the lower deok, and : between them and their many friends and well-wishers on the wharf was a network of coloured streamers. A kiwi I mascot, which is understood to have been a presentation from Wanganui, had a conspicuous position. As the boat moved out Mr S. S. Dean, ohairman af the New Zealand Rugby Union, called for three cheers for “The Boys," and to this request the public responded with great heartiness. The Australian' tour will be managed by Mr E. A. Little, and included in the team are:—Full-back: Nepia (Hawke’s Bay). Three-quarters: Hart (Taranaki), Brown (Taranaki), Lucas (Auckland), Svenson (Wellington). Five-eighths: O. Badeley (Auckland), oaptain, M. Nioholla (Wellington), Cooke (Auckland), MoGregor (Canterbury). Half-backs; Mill (Hawke’s Bay), 1,-alley (Canterbury). Forwards: Munro (Otago), MaCleary (Canterbury), Irvine (Hawke’s Bay), Harvey (Wai-rar-apa), Masters (Canterbury), Barker (Canterbury), C. Brownlie (Hawke’s Ray), M. Brownlie (Hawke’s Bay), Oupples (Bay of Plenty), Richardson (Southland), vice-captain, White (Southland), Porter (Wellington). The following members of tho team are not making the Australian trip —Steele (West Coast), Robilliard (Canterbury), Paewai (Hawke’s Bay), Q. Donald (Wairaraipa), West (Taranaki), and Stewart (South Canterbury). Several enthusiastic followers of tho game aocompamy the team to Sydney, notably Messrs L. -Gui-ney, Christchurch ; W.\ H. Stevens, Palmerston North; J. Phillips, WeHington; A. H. Carman, Johnsonville; E. J. Halford, Cbrastohuroh : C. S. McCully, of the Canterbury Ruigb.y Union; W. Smith, af Wellington, the Athletic forward; and A. E. Duncan, Wellington. After their return on July 22nd, the members of the team will play an exhibition gam®, and on Sunday, July 27th, the full All Black -combination, under the management of Mr S. S. Dean, will sail for England. Following are games to he played in Sydney:— July oth, v. New South Wales (first Test); July 9th, v. Metropolitan ; July 12th, v. New South Wales (second Test): July 19th, v. New South Wales (third Test).
