TERRY’S WONDERFUL TRIP. OFFICIAL RECOGNITION. LONDON, June G. Mr Michael Terry, tlie well-known Australian traveller, has been made a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, in recognition of his trans-Aus-tralian expedition. Mr Terry is an adventurous young Australian, only 25 years of age, who recently carried out a remarkable motor trip right across Australia from Winton (Q.) to Broome (IV.A.) He and a younger companion, Richard Yockley, bought an old Ford car for a song, repaired it themselves, and drove it a distance of nearly 3009 miles right across the Northern Territory, traversing country where for long distances there was hardly even a trank, and where they sometimes had difficulty in securing water supplies.
