DEAD PIC IN A MOSQUE
A serious riot occurred at Howrah when Moslems found tno carcase of a ipig in a mosque. 25,000 Moslems gathered, and the entire police force was called out.
While the leaders were attempting to placate the crowd., Moslems entered Hindu houses near the mosque and assaulted the in in at ©» Three wem killed. Armed police barricaded tne thoroughfares. It seems that the ownership of land adjoining the moequo is in. dispute between tne Moslems and Hindus, and is the subject of litigation.
