MONTHLY MEETING
WAIRARAPA P. AND A. SOCIETY. VARIOUS BUSINESS. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) MASTERTON, March 23. At the monthly meeting of the general committee of the Wairarapa P. and A. Society, held at Carterton on Saturday, the treasurer reported the bank overdraft to he .£1690, and that receipts for the month had been J 897. Messrs J. G, Oates, T. O. Haycock, and G. A. Allen were appointed to represent the society at the annual conforenoe of tile New Zealand A. and P. Associations of the North Island, on Jnns 19th. ROYAL SHOW. The secretary of the Royal Agricultural Society of New Zealand, wrote asking for the society's financial assistance for the Royal show. In order that the matter could be fully discussed, Ur W. Fisher"gave notice to move that a previous resolution on the books of the society be rescinded. INFORMATION WANTED. It was decided also to ask the Royal Society, for further information in respect to the operations of the society. Four resignations of members were accepted. Mr C. Reid reported that the Wairarapa Licensed Victuallers’ Association had promised to replace their cup, which had been won outright in the cheese section at the last show.
