A Palmerston North Press Association messages states that the resignation of the Rev. H. G. Blackbnrne, of All Saints Anglican Church, was announced yesterday morning, owing to ill-health, after nine years incumbency. Mr T. Cooper, of Messrs Sargood, Ron, and Ewen, Dunedin, on severing his connection with the firm, was presented with a handsome gold watch. He will leave for the North Island to-morrow to entei business on his own account. Mr W. W. Samson, who has carried out the duties of registrar of the Supreme Court and Official Assignee in Dunedin for some years, is being transferred to Christchurch, in succession to Mr Holmes, who las retired on superannuation. Mr J. E. Hartland, Traffic Inspector on the Auckland Section of the New Zealand Railways, has returned to Christchurch from the West Coast.
