HAWKE’S BAY WINS ACCIDENT AT MATCH. Per Press Association. FIELDING, March 22. ’ The final polo match for the Savde Cup was played today between Hawke’s Bay and Bamgitikei. There was perfect weather and the field was in splendid order. The game proved to be fast and exciting with splendid shooting on both rides. Hawke’s Bay gradually proved their superiority and won. by 7, goals .to A - - -A—During the game McKenzie, a back for Hawke’s Bay, was unseated and the pony trod on his face. Ilia nose was broken but he was otherwise not seriously hurt. His place was token in the team by his son. The cup was presented to the victors by Hr James Wilson. CHRISTCHURCH TOURNEY. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, March 22. At the polo tournament in the first round for the Stead Cnp P&reora beat Aimuri by thirteen goals to four. Christchurch “A” beat Christchurch “B” hy 13 goals to 2.
