LIGHTING JOHNSONVILLE
CITY COUNCIL TO DO WORK. LEGISLATION SOUGHT. Authority was granted by the Wellington Cuty Council last night for legislation to be obtained during the next session of Parliament to nring Johnsouvillo within the provision of the Wellington Eleotric Lighting Act. The power stations oommdttee reported that in its opinion it would he m the beet interests of all concerned for the city to undertake and bear the cost ’of the reticulation of Johnsonville, and thereby deal with consumers on vxactslv the same footing as those within the city boundaries.
