Bennett as Assistant Undersecretary a number of promotions haTe taken place in the Publio Works Department as follow: —Chief clerk, P. S. Waldie; accountant, J. J. Gibson; assistant accountant, Mr H. Arthur; inspecting officers, Mr W. S. Ferguson and Mr W. T. Wiggs; chief clerk, Auckland, Mr L. Cooper; ohief clerk, Wthangarei, Mr J. A. White.
