FREE KINDERGARTEN

To-morrow (Friday) a street collection taken uip in aid of the Wellington Free Kindergarten. The use and the necessities of these splendid little schools have been oftentimes brought before the public, and the response has been more or less good. It is hoped, that the people will this year think of the good of the cause beforehand, and realise what good is being done in keeping little ones out of tbe streets, which are sometimes their only play-place©, with dangers of all kind© around them. The day is being organised by the mothers of the children in the Taranaki street school, and stands will be taken at Quinton's Corner, Kirkcaldie's, G.P.0., Bank of New Zealand, at Willis street and at Cuba street. Veitch and Allan's, and at Courtenay place.
