£2OOO BENEFACTION
FOR AUCKLAND RESEARCH.. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Mar oh 19. The University Council has received a letter from an Auckland benefactor, who desires to ' remain anonymous, notifying his intention of giving £2OOO to the nniversity and expressing a desire that the revenue derived be devoted to one scholarship of £IOO per annum or two of £SO in a subject involving research not for classics or pure mathematics.
