The third-class yacht race was won by Speedwell, which was the onlv boat to complete the course. The 'Speedwell passed boats in the first and second-class events. The one design event was won by Myria, with Rangi second, and Queen March third, and the open speed launch race bv Green Stripe (Wanganui Singlestep Hydroplane) from Miss Auckland, and the romance speed championship by Pussyfoot, with a speed of thirty knots, beating Miss Auckland and Karomana, which were second and third respectively. Pussyloot wins also the handicap race, with Miss Auckland second. Shortly after the finish of the race the Pussyfoot filled and sank in deep water, owing, it is understood, to a bracket carrying away and holing the hull.
