At Chamonix the 1500 metres speed skating Olympiad contest resulted: Thunberg (Finland), 1. Time, limn 20 4-ssec. Larsen (Norway), 2. Time, lmin 22sec. The 10,000 metres resulted: Skutnabb (Finland), 1. Time ISmin 4scc. Thunberg (Finland), 2. Time, 18min 7 4-ssec. Four Norwegians followed the gen eral classification in the four speed skating events. Places: Thunberg 1, Larsen (Norway) 2, Skutnabl* 3. The classifications by nations gives Finland 48$ points, Norway 39 points and the United States 11 points.
