INDUSTRIES OF BRITAIN
THE FORTHCOMING YBAU. FACILITIES FOR BUSINESS. Tho British Industries Fair, which has in past years acquired a name of distinction throughout the Empire, promises thie year to surpess ali earlier exhibitions of the kind. Organised by the British Department of Overseas Trade, the fair will be hvld at the White City, London, from April 2Sth to Mav 9th and; at Birmingham from May 12th to May 23rd. The date of the fair has been determined so as to synchronise with the British Empire .Exhibition. The opportunity l for overseas visitors will consequently b* exceptional. The arrangement by which the Birmingham section will follow the London section of the fair should enable .the buyer tovisitboth centres with*ample time at his disposal in which to select nis lines, place his orders and settle all business details in comfort before turning to the educational and pleasure-seeking side of his visit. Tho strict segregation of the exhibiting trades into clearly defined sections at each centre of the fair should! enable him to inspect the particular lino or .lines with which he is concerned in the minimum of time and with the maximum of comfort. Tho fact that admission to the fair building is to bo limited by personal in vitation to the bona fide trade buyer further contributes to the end that the fair shall be market -for business men. Though able to house the British Industries Fair of 1921, 1922, and 1923, the White City isi far short in of thi4 enormous halls and palaces nowin course of erection to* become eventually the home of this ever-growing fair. The halls j{n whioh tho fair of 1925 will be held covers acres of ground. This about twelyo tijnefl he area of Trafalgar Square, more than three times that of Madison Square, New York, and nearly twice that of the Place de la Concorde, Paris.
