DAYLIGHT ROBBERY
BANDITS’ DARING ACT. JEWELLER’S SHOE LOOTED. (Sydney "Sun” Cable.) PARIS, January 27. Armed bandits carried out a daring daylight robbery at Osterdag’s famous jeweller’s shop in the heart of the fashionable shopping quarter. Three well-dressed men entered and felled the doorkeeper with blows from an iron bar, then shot the manager in the abdomen and head, mortally wounding him. They decamped with valuable booty.
