FIRE AT PALMERSTON N,
Per Press Association. PALMERSTON N., January 26. Shortly after midnight, fire gutted the premises, in the main street, cf Turner, tobacconist, and Skinner, mercer and clothier. The goods were practically til destroyed. Turner’s stock was insured for £IOOO, and the estimated loss is £750. Skinner’s stock was insured for £3090, and lie estimates the less at about £IOOO. The building is the property of the Combs Estate. It carried insurances aggregating £ISOO, and is valued at about £2OOO.
