MINISTERIAL PEERS OFFICE THROUGH DUTY. (Sydney “Sun” Cable.), LONDON, January 24. Inquiries in Cabinet circles indicate that Lords Chelmsford and Parmoor were invited to join the Ministry because a certain number of Peers was essential to carrying on the King 8 Government. Neither is to be regarded as a convert to the Labour movement. Both received assurances that Mr Macdonald’s Dolicy would not endanger the stability of Britain or the Empire. Therefore they considered it was their duty to render all possible assistance to carry on the Government. It is claimed that Mr Macdonald has filled the Cabinet poets with remarkable cleverness-. No one is given. Ministerial responsibility in a direction wherein he has already enunciated extremist views.
