HUTT VALLEY
MEETING OF POWER BOARD. A meeting of the Hutt Valley Electric Power Board was held this week, the following members being present:—Mr J. W. McEwan (chairman), Messrs A. J. Hobbs, W. H. P. Barber, A. W. Press, A. J. McCurdy, H. Jay, and W. T. Cotton. The inspector, in his report, stated that 85 permits for installations had been issued, making a total of SO up to date. The engineer reported that the third shipment of poles arrived on December 29th, and had been coming forward from the wharf since January 3rd. to date. In all 437 natural round poles had arrived from a total shipment of 502.
