LONG DRIVE BY A WOMAN
QUEENSLAND TO SYDNEY. A notable achievement was recently made by Miss Terry, of Inkerman Station, Queensland, who is a motorist of oonstdierablle experience. A few weeks ago she set out from her Queensland home, driving a 23-60-h.p. Vauxhall, and reached Sydney eight days later. The total distance covered was 1660 miles, so it will be seen that the excellent average of over 200 miles per day was maintained. Miss Terry drove throughout the entire trip, and the car carried six passengers. The route followed was via Longreach to Morven, thence to Mur;gindi, and on through Moree and Gunnedah to Sydney, by - way of the Blue Mountains. During the trip no mechanical trouble of any kind was experienced, and the party came through without a puncture.
