BLOOD STOCK SALE
THE WAIKANAE YEARLINGS GOOD YOUNGSTERS GO CHEAP. There was a good attendance of buyers yesterday when Mr lan Duncan held his annual sale of Waikanae yearlings. Bidding was far from spirited! and most of the lots sold realised less than those who bad seen them before the sale thought they would bring, The highest price was obtained for the Relbeka colt, who was secured by Mr W. Fuller for 950 guineas The Glen Helen oolt went •heap, being bought for Mr George Tye, Melbourne, for 600 guineas. From then on poor prices reigned and the best was obtained for the final lot of tho sale, the Snowtike filly,-which Mr Charles Elgar bought for 325 u guineas. Details of the sale follow: — Lot 1. —b o by Kilbroney—Rebekah, Mr W. Fuller. 950 guineas. Lot 2.—hr cult by Kilbroney, from Glen Helen, 600 guineas, Mr George Tyo, Melbourne. Lot 3.—b cby Kilbroney from Fairfight, appeared to be slightly lame and was not sold, but may be treated for privately. Lot 4.—b o by Kilbroney—Mayhap, was not offered! as he got cast in his box, but he may bo treated for privately. Lot 5. —b f by Kilbroney from Pot Pourri, bought by Mr A. G. Pilrner, 100 guineas. Lot 6. —b c by Kilbroney from Peace, bought by Mr Lattrell for 300 guineas. Lot 7. —b c by Kilbroney from Sunbird, bought by Mr W. G. Stead for 235 guineas. Lot B.—br f by Kilbroney from Bebe, bought by Mr J. Ayres for 800 guineas. Lot 9. —br f by Kilbroney from Snowfitell, bought by Mr J. Fuller for 275 guineas. Lot 10. —b f by Kilbroney from Bonny Holen, bought ,by Mr W. J: Jorgensorf for 175 guineas. Lot 11. —b f by Kilbroney from Snowlike, bought by Mr C. Elgar for 325 guineas.
