SUPPOSED. SUICIDE. MAN DRINKS POISON. Per Pre«« Association-. TE KUITI, January '24. About three o’clock this afternoon advice was received of a supposed suicide near the bridge by the bowling green. The victim has been identified as a middle-aged man named P. Duffy, who is believed to be a stranger to the district. Details are meagre, but it is understood that a letter was left by deceased. A carrier saw deceased apply a bottle to hi® lips and act in a peculiar manner. A doctor was sent for, and found that deceased had drunk a, quantity of poison. He was attended to, but died soon after.
