DAYLIGHT SAVING

LEGISLATION THIS SESSION. EFFORTS OF SPORTS PROTEC- 7 TION LEAGUE. Sports bodies in Wellington and. other parts of the Dominion have discussed the question of daylight saving a good deal during the past fewmonths, and the matter has been take a* up by the New Zealand Sports Protection League. The Board of Control ofthe League met in Wellington this week and passed the following resolution: — . . ’ “The Board of Control is of opinion that the inauguration of a system viding for daylight saving is desirable ia the interests of the community, and invites sports bodies, organisations, and persons favourable to the reform to co-operate with the -New Zeal an dSports Protection League for the purpose of securing the passing of the necessary legislation during tho next session of Parliament.” The League will arrange as soon as possible, in conjunction with other bodies, a large and representative deputation to the Government to urge the introduction of a Bill early -in-the rorn ing session of Parliament.
