PUBLIC OPINION
SCHOOL BUILDINGS.
(To the Editor, N.Z. “Times”). Sir,—A statement has been made in the public pices that a ‘'conference of architects” ailived at the decisions regarding the policy in reference to the erection of school buildings. I am deshed by the executive committee of this institute to ask if you will kindly correct the impression, as the decisions arrived at were those de cisions later expressed in a circular to Education Boards from the director of education, as a lesult of a conference of representatives of Education Boards and a few departmental and Education Board architects, called by tho Minister. Neither architects m private practice carrying out school buildings nor the council of this institute were consulted, represented or invited to attend. D. G. DUSTON, secretary
