SOCIETY OF MUSICIANS
A very jolly social evening was enjoyed by members of the Wellington Society of Musicians on Monday last in the Art Gallery. The programme was quite impromptu, and was contributed to by Madame Briggs, Misses Olive Barth and Myra Sawyer, and Mr Leo Buokeridge. A much appreciated inno 7 ration .was the singing of favourite Christmas carols in which everyone present heartily joined. Mrs Hector, Miss Barth, of Dunedin, Miss Mills, and Mr Greer assisted at the piano. After a dainty supper, the president, Mr H. Temple White, wished the members a very happy Christmas and successful New Year, and expressed as his Christmas message the hope that members would co-opeiate more heartily in musical endeavour, and bv helping one another bring help and blessing to themselves. The singing of “Auld Lang Syne” brought a very successful function to a close.
