The headmaster, Mr C. Biry, presented his report, which showed that the scholars had had a very successful year :—Standard 1., 48 scholars, 46 passed (1 was absent at examination); standard 11., 83 scholars, 80 passed (1 absent); standard 111.. 68 scholars, 59 passed; standard IV., 65 scholars, 63 passed; standard V., 65 scholars, 64 passed; standard VI., SU proficiencies, 10 endorsed competency, 5 reeoinmendatipns for Technical Scnooi. and 6 failed. Two of the scholars (Alma Campbell and Jack Standem) had been awarded Trentham scholarships of rhe value of .£BO The dux of the school was Dorothy Duncan, who obtained 857 parks, with Dennis Smythe second with 643 marks. The first eleven won the intermediate cricket championship, and Mr C. Bary (coach) was 'heartily congratulated. The following scholars had been awarded medals in connection with Rugby:—Seniors—J. Bailey reported on the financial success of the recent breaking up concert given by Miss Hyman’s pupils. It was resolved to convey to the scholars and staff the committee’s hearty congratulations on the success attained at the examinations. It was decided to hold the breaking up ceiemohy on Thursday afternoon, 20th. Parents and ex-scholars are to he invited to witness the presentation of proficiency and other certificates.
